Neptunes flight
Dismal dark day
Pattering and pouring
Through gullies and gutters
Streaming icy chill
Gushing past my feet
Flooded roads clogging cars
Stalling engines
In dark deep puddles
The machines drown
Eyes strain upwards towards sky
Viewing Neptune from northerly realm
Striding 'cross soaked sodden land
With cold wet shoulder shudders
Swaying his watery cloak earthward
As rivers flood full of praise
And lowlands bubble up in lakes
On such great puddles and streams
He darkly dances in thoughtful mood
Across pockmarked mirrored aspect
As traversing the troposhere
Dark Neptune sprays down
All his life-giving furious feelings
Upon all and sundry, saint and sinner
Till his rage drags him onward
And sol returns a welcome warmth
While a stillness suddenly settles
Upon rain soaked land
